Sustainable Business Practice Contest Rules 2009
Who Can Participate?
-Anyone can submit content to the site, and no registration fees apply.
-In order to submit, you must open a free user account on ethipedia.net.
-There is no restriction on the number of submissions entered by any one individual, in fact, the more quality submissions you make, the better your chances of winning a prize, and the more visibility you will get.
-The deadline for eligibility for contest prizes is November 31, 2009, although submissions after this date will still benefit from visibility.
-All submitters interested in being eligible for the contest prizes must send an email through the contact form at the bottom of each page indicating that they have just submitted a practice to the Contest. This should be done for each practice submitted.
-Submitted account must be new to the site, please check in our list of existing Sustainable Business Practices to make sure your account has not already been covered by someone else!
-Publishable sustainability practices will respect the criteria for submission
-Publishable practices are real practices that have been implemented in real organizations (no fictional or theoretical practices will be accepted).
-Near publishable practices may be responded to with comments on how to render the practice publishable.
-Publishable practices will be published on the site within a few working days of submission.
How to Participate
-Familiarize yourself with the Social and Environmental Criteria for Sustainable Practices
-Familiarize yourself with the , and types of submissions that are likely not to be published.
-Identify a practice within an organization for which you will be able to document how the practice was implemented, what the challenges were, what social and environmental benefits have come from the practice, and what financial and economic results the practice has generated.
-Browse the site to see existing content and review the Terms and Conditions of Use
-Open a user account
-Research and write your practice according to the information fields on the site, restricting the total word count to 1500.
-Submit your practice
-Send an email through the contact form at the bottom of the page indicating your wish to enter the practice in the contest.
Prize Draw
-The prize draw will take place in early December 2009 and winners will be announced by December 31st 2009.
-Prizes will be drawn at random from among participants whose Sustainable Business Practice accounts have been accepted for publication.
-Every single accepted submission is counted as a separate entry into the draw pool. Therefore, an individual submitting several practices has a better chance of winning the draw.
-Prize winners will be contacted through the email they provided with their user account. Failure to respond within one week will result in forfeiture.
